I don’t want to worry anyone…

…..but I’ve actually made something. Something not edible to boot. I’m fine, honestly. Not running a temperature or anything 🙂 I should stress my making has been very small and simple – a t-shirt shopping bag.

It involved turning this…..

….into this…..

I bought this t-shirt the first time I saw the Scissor Sisters, all the way back in 2004. It’s a skinny fit t-shirt and I’ve never been a skinny-fit girl, so when I saw this tutorial courtesy of Martha Stewart I knew I would be to repurpose my t. It’s ridiculously simple, so I’d encourage you to have a bash. I used a sewing machine, but that’s by no means mandatory, it’ll just take you a wee bit longer. It’s not the sturdiest bag that’s ever been made, but that’s more down to the flimsiness of the t, rather than the pattern. I’m now sorely tempted to butcher a few other ts 🙂
