2013 – Feeling resolute

New year, new start….

1. No drink until the Inverness Half-Marathon.

I’m not a significant boozer, but I do get rotten hangovers. With the amount of training I need to fit in between now and Sunday 17th March, I cannot afford to lose days to feeling horrible. So, no alcohol until I wheeze my way over the finish line.

2. Be a better friend/sister/daughter.

I am terrible at keeping in touch. I’m rubbish at it. I need to pick up the phone, send cards, meet people. Please call me on this one throughout the year people!

3. Try to be more organised, especially with money.

I’ve slipped a bit on my budgeting in the last few months and I need to get back on track. I also need to keep a better note of when I’m supposed to have meetings…there were a couple of hairy moments last year when I realised, with not much time to spare, that I had a guiding commitment.

4. Wash the dishes before I go to bed.

I made this one last year and mostly stuck to it. I always felt happier walking into a clean kitchen in the morning, so this goes on the list for 2013.

5. Try new things.

Mostly self explanatory. However, it also includes getting stuck into Sarah Rooftop’s 2013 Why Don’t You? list. Can I recommend you take a peek here?

And how are you?

  1. I need to give number four a go. Urgently. Before we run out of clean mugs. Again.

I’m excited you’re giving the list a go! And, yes, you have to meet people. 😉
